Join our 2020 online events - get involved now!
This year we'll be performing online so that we can safely still perform as a huge Christmas ensemble!
There are two ways to take part:
- We will be recording pieces by everyone sending in recordings of their own playing to be compiled into big videos; and
- We will have a live "playalong" session, when we will unveil the finished recordings and we can all play some additional Christmas music "together" at the same time, wherever we are.
You can take part in either or both of our activities this year - everyone is welcome.

Our live event will be at 3pm on Sunday 20th December, and last for approximately one hour

Frequently Asked Questions:
- Will I get the music in advance to practice?
- Yes - we will send pdf copies a few days ahead of the event - the arrangements are just being finalised
- Will I have to share my video and audio?
- We would love to see you so we all feel like we are playing together, but you will not have to share if you do not want to - you can still watch and playalong without sharing
- Will we be able to hear each other as we perform?
- Sadly not - this is not possible with current technology. However, we will all playalong to special backing tracks, and we should all be able to see each other to feel as close as possible to the Big Christmas Wind Orchestra and Choir experience!
- Will I need any special software or devices to take part?
- No - we will probably use Zoom, which runs on any modern device or in a web browser
- Will this still be a great festive music-making extravaganza?
- Yes absolutely! We promise musical fun for everyone, with the bonus of not staying out in the cold all afternoon!
